Another wonderful recipe from French's emailed newsletter. Instead of the frozen garlic bread 1 fresh loaf of prepared garlic bread can be substituted. Slice into cubes for approximately 10 cups of cubed bread.

11 1/4 ounces frozen garlic bread, slices thawed and cubed
2 medium tomatoes, ripe, coarsely chopped
1 1/3 cups French's French fried onions
6 eggs
1 cup milk
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon italian seasoning

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a greased, shallow 3 quart baking dish add the cubed garlic bread. Top the bread with tomatoes and 2/3 cup french fried onions.
  • In a large bowl add the eggs and milk, beat well. Stir in one cup of mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese and the seasoning.
  • Pour mixture over bread cubes and stir gently to coat well.
  • Bake for approximately 25 minutes or until custard is just set.
  • Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and onions.
  • Bake an additional five minutes or until cheese melts and onions are golden brown.

2 1/4 cups Bisquick Heart Smart mix
2 green onions
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 -2 ounce reduced-fat cheddar cheese (Shredded or cubed into 1/4 inch cubes, apx 1/4-1/2 cup) (optional)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 & grease a 1.5 qt round casserole dish.
  • Combine milk, melted butter & egg white, beating until smooth.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients just until Bisquick is moistened; it'll be lumpy.
  • Pour into prepared dish & bake 35 minutes or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool 5 minutes, remove from pan to wire rack. Serve warm or allow to cool.

1-1/2 pounds bulk Italian sausage
1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green pepper
2 cans (15 ounces each) tomato sauce
2 cans (6 ounces each) tomato paste
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cans (8-3/4 ounces each) whole kernel corn, drained
2 cans (2-1/4 ounces each) sliced ripe olives, drained
1 package (16 ounces) wide noodles, cooked and drained
8 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into strips

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook sausage, beef, onion and green pepper until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, water and seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Add corn and olives. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in noodles. , Pour into two greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dishes. Top with cheese. 1 onion, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, chopped
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon dried parsley
½ teaspoon garlic salt
black pepper to taste
8 ounces wide egg noodles
1 (12 ounce) package process sharp cheddar cheese singles

Steps:

  • In large skillet, brown ground beef and onion. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, parsley, garlic salt and pepper, and simmer over low heat for 3 hours.
