Time 40m

Yield 4-5 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 lbs country-style pork ribs
1 dash seasoning salt
1 dash onion powder
1 dash garlic powder
1 dash ground pepper
1 cup barbecue sauce
1 cup jam

Steps:

  • Pat ribs dry, sprinkle with spices, then hand rub the spices into the ribs.
  • Mix together the jam and barbecue sauce and brush onto the ribs.
  • Barbecue on grill, turning and basting often. Cooking time will depend on the thickness of your ribs and the heat of your grill. On our grill it takes about 35 minutes.
  • OR put in crock pot on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  • OR bake the ribs in the oven, covered with aluminum foil, at 300 degrees for 3 hours. Then uncover and increase temperature to 350 degrees. Baste with the sauce and bake one more hour, turning and basting again after 30 minutes. (DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF YOUR RIBS, THIS MIGHT BE TOO LONG OF A COOKING TIME, SEE THE REVIEWS).
  • OR cook in heavy covered pot on stovetop, starting on medium and reducing heat after 10 minutes or so. Cook for about 3 hours, basting and turning as you go.

SUPER EASY COUNTRY-STYLE RIBS

Categories     < 4 Hours

Time 2h40m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 2

3 lbs country-style pork ribs
18 ounces your favorite barbecue sauce

Steps:

  • Cut pork ribs into serving pieces, if necessary. Arrange meaty side up in ungreased 13x9 rectangular pan. Cover pan with foil and bake in 325 degree oven until tender, about 2 hours. Drain.
  • Remove foil and pour barbecue sauce over ribs. Bake uncovered, spooning sauce over ribs occasionally, until ribs are hot and glazed, about 30 minutes.

Tips:

  • Choose the right ribs: Look for ribs that are meaty and have a good amount of marbling. Avoid ribs that are too fatty or have a lot of bone.
  • Prepare the ribs properly: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim off any excess fat. Cut the ribs into individual portions if desired.
  • Use a good rub: A rub is a mixture of spices and herbs that is applied to the ribs before cooking. There are many different rub recipes available, so choose one that you like. Be sure to rub the ribs evenly and let them sit for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Cook the ribs slowly: Ribs need to be cooked slowly in order to become tender. The best way to do this is to cook them in a smoker or oven at a low temperature for several hours. You can also cook ribs in a slow cooker on low for 8-10 hours.
  • Baste the ribs regularly: Basting the ribs with a mixture of water, vinegar, and brown sugar will help keep them moist and prevent them from drying out. Baste the ribs every 30 minutes or so during the cooking process.
  • Let the ribs rest before serving: Once the ribs are cooked, let them rest for 10-15 minutes before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the ribs, making them even more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

Country-style pork ribs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. By following these tips, you can make sure that your ribs turn out tender, flavorful, and fall-off-the-bone delicious.
