Tips:

  • Use fresh or frozen corn. Fresh corn is best, but frozen corn can also be used. If using frozen corn, thaw it before using.
  • Use a good quality green chile. The type of green chile you use will greatly affect the flavor of the cornbread. Choose a green chile that is flavorful and has a bit of heat, such as a poblano or Anaheim chile.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing the batter will make the cornbread tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cornbread in a hot oven. This will help the cornbread to rise and brown properly.
  • Let the cornbread cool slightly before serving. This will help the cornbread to hold together when you cut it.

Conclusion:

This Junior League Southwest Green Chile Corn Bread is a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. The cornbread is moist and flavorful, with a slight kick from the green chiles. It is a great way to use up fresh or frozen corn, and it is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
