Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the final dish will be. Look for fresh, flavorful kielbasa, onions, and potatoes.
  • Slice the kielbasa and potatoes thinly: This will help them cook evenly.
  • Caramelize the onions: This will add a delicious sweetness and depth of flavor to the dish.
  • Use a well-seasoned cast iron skillet: This will help the potatoes get crispy and brown.
  • Don't overcrowd the skillet: If you overcrowd the skillet, the potatoes and kielbasa will not cook evenly.
  • Cook the dish over medium heat: This will help the potatoes cook through without burning.
  • Stir the dish occasionally: This will help prevent the potatoes from sticking to the skillet.
  • Top the dish with cheese: This will add a delicious gooeyness to the dish.
  • Serve the dish hot: This is the best way to enjoy the flavors of the dish.
