KOOL-AID JELLY (MANY FLAVORS) (FOR JELLY QUEEN)

Kool-Aid Jelly (Many Flavors) (For Jelly Queen) image

A quick jelly recipe with many flavors, how about Watermelon Kiwi or Arctic Green Apple, Black Cherry, yum, to name a few. You can also make an ice cream topping or syrup. Some Kool Aid flavors will not gel as quickly as others, I don't know why, this is a recent discovery. Use recipe Liquid Cement #151544 to get it to gel if it is still syrupy. I personally think there is some new ingredient in some of the flavors.I use dry pectin and unflavored gelatin. I have never had a problem but I live in a dry cold climate, maybe that effects the gelling.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 pkg unsweetened kool-aid, any flavor
1 pkg sure-jell pectin
3 c granulated sugar
3 c water

Steps:

  • 1. Mix water, Sure-Jell, and Kool-aid together in a large pot. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in sugar. Stir and bring to a full rolling boil that can not be stirred down. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Quickly skim off foam with a large metal spoon. Pour into jelly jars and seal. Make sure your jars seal properly.
  • 2. Our favorite is Mango-Pineapple. I use mango Kool-aid and 1 small flat can of crushed pineapple, drained.

Tips:

  • Choose the right Kool-Aid flavor: Different Kool-Aid flavors will produce different colors and tastes in your jelly. Consider using complimentary flavors, such as cherry and lime, or blue raspberry and lemon, for a unique twist.
  • Use fresh fruits or vegetables: Adding fresh fruits or vegetables to your Kool-Aid jelly can enhance the flavor and add texture. Some good options include strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, or diced carrots and celery.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar: The amount of sugar in the Kool-Aid jelly can be adjusted to your liking. If you prefer a sweeter jelly, add more sugar. For a tarter jelly, reduce the amount of sugar.
  • Chill the jelly properly: It's important to chill the Kool-Aid jelly properly to allow it to set. Make sure to refrigerate the jelly for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving.
