Steps:
- Spread 1/4 cup flour on a large plate. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then dredge in the flour and shake off the excess. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and heat until shimmering, then add the chicken and cook until golden and almost cooked through, 5 to 6 minutes per side.
- Push the chicken to the edges of the skillet, add the shallot and basil stems to the middle and cook until softened but not browned, about 1 minute. Stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon flour and cook 1 minute. Add the chicken broth and lemon juice and bring to a boil, scraping up any browned bits. Reduce the heat and simmer, turning the chicken occasionally, until cooked through and the sauce is thick, 3 to 4 minutes. Turn off the heat and swirl in 2 tablespoons butter until melted. Add the lemon zest and season with salt and pepper.
- Melt the remaining 1 tablespoon butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the zucchini noodles and season with salt and pepper; cook, stirring occasionally, until just softened, 2 to 3 minutes. Toss in half the torn basil. Divide among plates and top with the chicken, lemon sauce, remaining basil and red pepper flakes.

Tips:
- Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all your ingredients and equipment ready. This will help you save time and avoid scrambling.
- Choose the Right Chicken: For this recipe, it's best to use boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs. You can also use chicken tenders, but they may cook more quickly.
- Marinate the Chicken: Marinating the chicken in the lemon-basil mixture helps to infuse it with flavor. You can marinate the chicken for as little as 30 minutes or up to overnight.
- Use a Hot Pan: When you sear the chicken, make sure the pan is hot enough so that the chicken gets a nice golden crust. This will help to keep the chicken moist and flavorful.
- Don't Overcrowd the Pan: When you sear the chicken, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the chicken from cooking evenly.
- Cook the Chicken Through: Make sure the chicken is cooked through before you serve it. You can check this by inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken. The chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Serve Immediately: Lemon chicken with basil is best served immediately, while it is still hot and crispy. You can garnish the chicken with fresh basil leaves or lemon wedges.
Conclusion:
Lemon chicken with basil is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The combination of lemon and basil gives the chicken a bright and flavorful taste. This dish is also a good source of protein and vegetables. With a few simple tips, you can make a delicious and memorable lemon chicken with basil dish that your family and friends will love.
