COPYCAT STARBUCKS SHAKEN ICED PEACH GREEN TEA LEMONADE

Copycat Starbucks Shaken Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade image

I hardly ever go to Starbucks any more, after purchasing a Keruig years ago. Tried one of these a few days ago and have been back 3 times. Last time, I thought this was crazy, so I questioned the cashier. He said use 7 squirts of peach syrup. Some Starbuck's sells peach, almost all stores that have a Starbucks inside will sell the syrups. I have bought this at Von's and at Target. I purchased the plunger which was under $3.00 (I love that thing!) because the cashier had no idea what 7 squirts measured out to be. It's so much easier to squirt out the syrup, then measure into each glass, or so, I think. Hope you enjoy as much as I do! No more money spent at Starbucks on these babies!

Time 1h10m

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 c water
1/4 c lavender, edible washed and rinsed
2 decaf tea bags
zest of one lemon
1 c fresh lemon juice
1 c sugar or 1/4 cup agave
sparkling water or wine

Steps:

  • 1. Bring 2 cups water and two tea bags to a boil in pan. Turn heat off, add lavender and lemon zest. After three mins remove tea bags. Let steep for 1 hour. Strain in large pitcher and stir in lemon juice sweetner, and 2cups water. Serve over ice with splash of sparkling water or sparkling wine.

Tips:

  • Use Fresh Ingredients: Fresh lemons and tea leaves make all the difference in the taste of your lemonade iced tea. When choosing lemons, look for ones that are heavy for their size and have a smooth, unblemished skin. For the tea, use loose-leaf tea or quality tea bags.
  • Make a Strong Tea Base: The strength of the tea base is essential for a flavorful lemonade iced tea. Use 2 tea bags or 2 tablespoons of loose-leaf tea per cup of water. Steep the tea for at least 5 minutes, or longer for a stronger flavor.
  • Sweeten to Taste: Lemonade iced tea can be sweetened with sugar, honey, or your favorite sweetener. Start with a small amount and add more to taste. You can also use flavored syrups for a variety of flavors.
  • Chill Thoroughly: Lemonade iced tea is best served chilled. Let the tea cool to room temperature before adding the lemon juice and sweetener. Then, chill the tea for at least 2 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
  • Garnish and Serve: Garnish your lemonade iced tea with lemon slices, mint leaves, or fresh berries. Serve over ice with a straw.
