LINDA'S TUNA AND OLIVE SANDWICH (SANDWICHES) OR FINGER ROLLS

Linda's Tuna and Olive Sandwich (Sandwiches) or Finger Rolls image

This is one of my all time FAVORITE sandwiches. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Onions and olives go together well with the mayo in this recipe... YUMMO! The Finger Roll recipe is GREAT around the holidays and for baby and bridal showers, graduations, weddings, parties, and family get togethers. Just omit the lettuce if making the Finger Rolls. Each can of tuna will make 3-4 finger rolls, depending on how full you make them, and how big the rolls are. You can double or triple this recipe, according to how many Finger Rolls you need. GENOA SALAMI WITH MANZANILLA OLIVE CREAM CHEESE FINGER SANDWICHES

Genoa Salami with Manzanilla Olive Cream Cheese Finger Sandwiches image

Finger sandwiches are coming out of grandma's closet and joining the happy hour crowd. These little guys are way fabulous and they'll make anybody smile. Your guests who are expecting a plain old cucumber sandwich will be blown away by the gutsy flavors hiding behind a sweet and innocent fa?e. I make these with thin-sliced bread so the sandwiches are light and not too filling ? look for bread labeled "Very Thin." Pepperidge Farm makes a good one in both white and wheat.

LINDA'S HAM SALAD SANDWICH (SANDWICHES) OR FINGER ROLLS

Linda's Ham Salad Sandwich (Sandwiches) or Finger Rolls image

These are a big hit around the holidays when having parties or having baby, graduation and wedding showers! This recipe uses left over ham from a smoked shoulder. The flavor is WONDERFUL, and so GOOD! This is a real treat! My gram always made it for us growing up, as she made us smoked shoulder quite often... I always helped her grind the meat, and that I was the "Big Cheese" getting to do that part LOL... Now I just use my blender, and it works like a charm, as long as you don't overload it. You can use chunks of chopped ham in this recipe, but it's not quite as tasty! Try some of my other delicious sandwiches: Recipe #52284 Recipe #218337 Recipe #52286

Time 20m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 lbs smoked ham, shoulder cut off the bone into chunks or 2 lbs chopped ham, cut into chunks
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons hot dog relish
1 onion, sliced thin
bread or roll, of your choice

Steps:

  • Grind the ham shoulder with a meat grinder. You can use a blender for this also, just make sure you don't put in too much at a time.
  • Put ground meat in a bowl and add mayonnaise, mustard, and relish. Mix well.
  • Chill until ready to make sandwiches or rolls.
  • When ready to make sandwiches, put a good amount of meat filling on the roll.
  • Add a slice of onion, or as much as you want. I love making these with vidalia onions, they are so sweet.
  • Put the top piece of bread or roll on, and serve.

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use high-quality tuna. Look for tuna that is packed in oil or water, and avoid tuna that is packed in brine.
  • If you are using canned tuna, drain it well before adding it to the sandwich.
  • Use a variety of vegetables in your sandwich. This will make the sandwich more colorful and nutritious.
  • Use a flavorful dressing or spread on your sandwich. This will help to bind the ingredients together and add flavor.
  • If you are making the sandwich ahead of time, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate it. The sandwich will keep for up to 2 days.

Conclusion:

Tuna and olive sandwiches are a delicious and easy-to-make lunch option. They are perfect for busy people who need a quick and portable meal. Tuna and olive sandwiches are also a good source of protein, healthy fats, and vitamins. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy lunch, give a tuna and olive sandwich a try.
