SWISS CHICKEN

Swiss Chicken image

This is a wonderful recipe. This was given to our family years ago by a good friend through the Boy Scouts. My brother would eat it all if he was allowed to and now my children who are both little love this dish. For people on a low budget this is an easy meal to make and it is easy to reheat. My mother, who does not eat chicken, loves the topping of this dish.

  • To save time: Chop the vegetables and chicken ahead of time and store them in airtight containers in the refrigerator. When you're ready to cook, just pull them out and start cooking!
  • For a creamier sauce: Use heavy cream instead of milk. You can also add a tablespoon of sour cream or cream cheese for an extra rich flavor.
  • To make it a one-pot meal: Cook the rice or noodles in the same pot as the chicken and vegetables. This saves on dishes and makes cleanup a breeze.
