Number Of Ingredients 6

4 peeled bananas
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/3 c maple syrup
1 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp dark rum, optional
ice cream, optional

Steps:

  • 1. Cut bananas in 1 1/2" thick pieces and place in single layer in buttered 4 c baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Pour syrup over and dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees 20 min, turning 2-3 times.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe bananas for a sweeter and more flavorful dish.
  • Use a baking dish that is just large enough to hold the bananas in a single layer.
  • Be careful not to overcook the bananas, as they can become mushy.

  • For a healthier version, use Greek yogurt or cottage cheese instead of ice cream or whipped cream.
  • You can also add other toppings to your bananas, such as chocolate chips, peanut butter, or fresh fruit.
  • If you are using a microwave to bake the bananas, be sure to cook them in short bursts, checking frequently to prevent overcooking.
