2 pounds lean ground beef (80/20 mix)
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 cup plain bread crumbs
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon celery salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup milk
½ lb. medium or sharp cheddar cheese (cut into ½" cubes)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine the beef, onion, bread crumbs, salt, paprika, celery salt, black pepper, eggs, and milk. Mix until combined well.
  • Cut cheese into ½" cubes and fold in to the meat mixture.
  • Grease a 9" x 5" x 3" loaf pan with vegetable cooking spray.
  • Place meat mixture into pan and spread until even. Take a fork and poke it a few times to make sure there are no air holes.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 60 minutes.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes once removed from the oven.
  • Drain any excess fat from the loaf.
  • Slice and serve with homemade mashed potatoes.

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup crushed cornflakes

1 cup sour cream

  • In a large bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. On a large piece of heavy-duty foil, pat beef mixture into a 14x10-in. rectangle. 2 eggs, beaten
1 ½ cups dry bread crumbs

¾ cup water

1 1/2 cups Italian breadcrumbs (or plain)
0.75 (16 ounce) jar mild salsa
1/4 cup ketchup

2 dashes basil
2 dashes oregano
2 dashes onion powder
2 dashes garlic powder
1 pinch salt
1 pinch pepper
1 egg
shredded cheese, for the top
