Tips:
- Choose lean pork: Ground pork with a higher fat content will produce a greasy meatloaf. For a healthier version, opt for ground pork with a fat content of 10% or less.
- Use fresh bread crumbs: Stale bread crumbs will make your meatloaf dry and crumbly. For the best results, use fresh bread crumbs that have been made from a good quality loaf of bread.
- Don't overmix the meatloaf: Overmixing the meatloaf will make it tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
- Bake the meatloaf in a loaf pan: This will help the meatloaf to hold its shape and cook evenly.
- Glaze the meatloaf before baking: Glazing the meatloaf will give it a shiny, caramelized crust.
- Let the meatloaf rest before slicing: Letting the meatloaf rest before slicing will help it to retain its moisture and prevent it from falling apart.
Conclusion:
Mini pork and apple meatloaves are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. They are also a great way to use up leftover pork. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a flavorful and satisfying dish that your family will love.
