Time 20m

Yield 8 to 10 servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/4 cup lightly packed fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
1/4 cup lightly packed fresh basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
4 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
1 baguette

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Add the parsley, basil, salt and garlic to a small food processor fitted with the blade attachment. Pulse the mixture until it's finely chopped. Add the butter and cheese and pulse to fully incorporate.
  • Cut the baguette in half through the middle and open the 2 pieces like a book, cut-side up. Spread the butter mixture evenly on each of the cut sides. Sandwich the 2 sides together and cut the baguette in half. Wrap each half in foil and place them on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the baking sheet from the oven and turn the broiler to high. Carefully unwrap the foil packs and open the bread, exposing the buttered sides. Return the baking sheet to the oven and broil until the edges are toasted, about 1 minute. Cut each baguette quarter into 3 pieces and serve.

HOMEMADE CIABATTA GARLIC BREAD RECIPE

Homemade Ciabatta Garlic Bread Recipe image

Easy garlic bread recipe with my no-fail technique for getting a perfectly crunchy outside and chewy inside! This lighter garlic bread uses olive oil instead of butter, and loads of herbs for bold flavor. I use a 1-pound ciabatta loaf, but any rustic Italian bread or French baguette would work well. For vegan garlic bread, omit the cheese or substitute it with nutritional yeast.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 pound loaf ciabatta bread
1/2 cup Italian parsley
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
½ cup grated or shredded parmesan

Steps:

Tips:

  • Use fresh garlic: Fresh garlic has a more robust flavor than pre-minced or jarred garlic. To get the best flavor, mince the garlic yourself just before using it.
  • Use a variety of cheeses: A combination of cheeses, such as Parmesan, mozzarella, and cheddar, will give your garlic bread a more complex flavor.
  • Don't skimp on the butter: Butter is what makes garlic bread so delicious. Use a generous amount of butter to coat the bread before baking.
  • Bake the garlic bread until it is golden brown: This will ensure that the bread is crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.
  • Serve the garlic bread immediately: Garlic bread is best when it is served fresh out of the oven. Leftover garlic bread can be reheated in the oven or toaster oven.

Conclusion:

Garlic bread is a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a loaf of garlic bread that is sure to please everyone at your table. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy side dish, give garlic bread a try. You won't be disappointed.
