½ cup mayonnaise, or to taste
2 green onions, chopped
½ cup sweetened dried cranberries (such as Ocean Spray® Craisins®)

1 tablespoon lime juice
1 pinch salt and black pepper to taste
¼ teaspoon dried dill weed

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 jar (16 ounces) chunky salsa
1 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon honey
2 garlic cloves, minced
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
2 cups hot cooked couscous
1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted

1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries (not frozen)
2 cups sugar
1 lb red seedless grapes (cut in halves)
2 Red Delicious apples (cut into small pieces)
3 navel oranges (cut into small pieces)
1 (10 1/2 ounce) package small marshmallows
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 quart Cool Whip

Steps:

  • Grind cranberries in blender.
  • Put them in a large bowl and add sugar.
  • Let Marinade/Chill overnight in the refrigerator.

Since the Holidays are coming up on us I wanted to share this recipe with everyone. I got this recipe from my ex Mother-in-law who was always an excellent cook. It's pretty simple to make and always a big hit. Even people who don't like cranberry salad like this one. This is the only cranberry salad recipe I make now. I'm not sure what the prep time is and the chill time is several hours. I always make this the night before Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner.

2 cups ground fresh apples (Jonathan apples work well)
2 cups sugar
1 (6 ounce) package cherry Jell-O
2 cups boiling water
1 cup chopped pecans
