Obatzda, also known as Bavarian cheese spread, is a creamy, flavorful spread made with a combination of cheeses, butter, and spices. It is a popular dish in Bavaria, Germany, and is often served as an appetizer or snack. Obatzda is typically made with a mixture of soft cheeses, such as Camembert or Brie, and hard cheeses, such as cheddar or Gouda. The cheeses are mashed together with butter, paprika, caraway seeds, and other spices. The resulting spread is smooth and creamy, with a slightly tangy flavor. Obatzda is typically served with pretzels, bread, or vegetables. It can also be used as a sandwich spread or as a dip for chips.
