Number Of Ingredients 19

1 lb bacon, cut into 1/2-inch thick pieces
1 lb chicken, cubed
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup flour
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 lb bow tie pasta

3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided

Steps:

  • In a large stockpot, saute bacon over medium-high heat until crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon to a medium bowl.

Provided by Camille Bergerson

Categories     Dinner

Yield 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 12

5 strips thick cut bacon, sliced
1 lb chicken breast, cubed
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
pepper, to taste
1 small onion, sliced
½ lb asparagus, cut into 1-inch or 2 1/2 cm long pieces
3 cloves garlic, minced

⅓ cup sun-dried tomato, roughly chopped
6 cups milk
1 lb rotini pasta
1 ¼ cups shredded parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • In a large pot, crisp the bacon on medium heat.
  • Drain excess grease so there's about 3 tablespoons left in the pot.
  • Add in the chicken, season with half of the seasoned salt and pepper, and cook.
  • Once the chicken is nicely browned, remove it from the pan but leave the bacon.
  • Add in the onion and asparagus. Stir until the onions begin to become translucent.
  • Add the garlic and spinach. Stir until spinach is wilted.
  • Add in the sun-dried tomatoes and season with remaining salt and pepper.
  • Pour milk over veggie and bacon mixture, and bring to a boil. Stir periodically so the bottom does not burn.

Yield 6

Number Of Ingredients 13

4 slices bacon
¾ pound chicken breasts, diced
½ teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 medium shallot, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 cups water
1 cup whole milk
4 cups elbow macaroni
1 tablespoon ranch dressing mix
3 cups broccoli florets
1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
¼ cup sour cream

Steps:

  • Heat bacon in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Cook, flipping occasionally until browned and crisp, about 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  • Sprinkle chicken evenly with salt and pepper; cook in hot bacon drippings over medium-high heat, stirring often, until chicken is golden brown on all sides, about 4 minutes. Transfer chicken to a plate and set aside. Chicken will not be fully cooked at this point.
  • Add shallot and garlic to drippings and cook, stirring often, until fragrant, 2 minutes. Stir in water and milk; use a wooden spoon to scrape any browned bits from bottom of the Dutch oven. Stir in pasta and ranch dressing mix. Bring to a boil and simmer for 6 minutes.
  • Return chicken to the Dutch oven and add broccoli. Cook until pasta is tender and chicken is cooked through, 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in Cheddar cheese and sour cream to combine. Crumble cooked bacon over the top and serve hot.

Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure all your ingredients are prepped and measured. This will help you stay organized and ensure that you don't miss any steps.
  • Cook the Chicken Well: Chicken is a great source of protein, but it's important to cook it thoroughly to prevent foodborne illness. Make sure the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Don't Overcook the Pasta: Pasta is best when it's cooked al dente, or slightly firm to the bite. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and unpleasant to eat.
  • Use Fresh Spinach: Fresh spinach has a better flavor and texture than frozen spinach. If you're using frozen spinach, be sure to thaw it and squeeze out any excess water before adding it to the pasta.
  • Add the Parmesan Cheese at the End: Parmesan cheese can easily overcook and become grainy. To prevent this, add it to the pasta just before serving.

Conclusion:

This One-Pot Chicken Bacon Spinach Parmesan Pasta is a quick and easy meal that's perfect for busy weeknights. It's packed with flavor and protein, and it's sure to be a hit with the whole family. So next time you're looking for a delicious and satisfying pasta dish, give this recipe a try.
