Time 15m

Yield 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

4 ounces skim milk, frozen into cubes
1 ounce mandarin orange, drained
4 ounces plain low-fat yogurt
2 tablespoons unjury vanilla protein powder (2 scoops)
1 teaspoon sugar substitute (1 packet)

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients into a blender (in the order listed) and blend until smooth.
  • Tip: Other varieties of oranges will not mix well in the blender and will cause the shake to become stringy and undrinkable. If you want to substitute orange juice for the mandarin oranges, you can do so, but keep in mind that the recipe won't contain the needed fiber.

Tips:

  • Use frozen oranges for a thicker, creamier shake. You can also use fresh oranges, but they will need to be peeled and frozen ahead of time.
  • Adjust the amount of protein powder to your liking. If you prefer a less protein-packed shake, use less powder. If you want a more protein-rich shake, use more powder.
  • Add other fruits or vegetables to your shake for a nutritional boost. Some good options include bananas, berries, spinach, and kale.
  • Garnish your shake with whipped cream, sprinkles, or a cherry for a fun and festive touch.
