ORANGE GLAZED PORK LOIN

Categories     Soup/Stew     Pork     Sauté     Quick & Easy

Yield 6 People

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 pork tenderloins, about 1/2 to 3/4 pound each
Salt and pepper
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
6 ounces orange juice concentrate, about 3/4 cup
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon dried leaf thyme
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Steps:

  • PREPARATION: Sprinkle pork with salt and pepper; coat with the flour. Heat oil in a large skillet or sauté pan over medium-high heat. Brown the pork tenderloins for about 5 minutes, turning to brown all sides. Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over the pork. Turn the tenderloins over to coat all sides and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove the cover and continue cooking, turning frequently, for 10 minutes, or until the pork is thoroughly cooked. Slice pork and serve with the sauce. Serves 4 to 6.

Tips:

  • Choose a pork loin roast that is about 3-4 pounds. This will serve 6-8 people.
  • If you don't have a meat thermometer, you can check the pork by inserting a fork in the center. If the juices run clear, the pork is done.
  • Let the pork rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This will help the juices redistribute and keep the meat moist.
  • Serve the pork with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or rice.

Conclusion:

Orange glazed pork loin is a classic dish that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. The combination of sweet and savory flavors is sure to tantalize your taste buds. So next time you're looking for a simple but elegant meal, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed.
