3/4 cup fresh-squeezed orange juice
3/4 cup water
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1/8 to 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts

Salt (to taste)

Tips:

  • Use high-quality couscous. Look for couscous that is made with durum wheat and has a slightly nutty flavor. Avoid couscous that is made with white flour, as it will not have the same flavor or texture.
  • Toast the couscous before cooking it. This will help to bring out the flavor and aroma of the couscous. To toast the couscous, heat a little oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the couscous and cook, stirring constantly, for 2-3 minutes, or until the couscous is golden brown.
  • Use a flavorful broth. The broth that you use to cook the couscous will greatly impact the flavor of the dish. Use a broth that is packed with flavor, such as chicken broth, vegetable broth, or beef broth. You can also use a combination of broths.
  • Add some vegetables. Vegetables are a great way to add color, flavor, and nutrients to your couscous. Some good vegetables to add to couscous include carrots, celery, onions, bell peppers, and zucchini.
  • Use fresh herbs. Fresh herbs are a great way to add flavor and aroma to your couscous. Some good herbs to use with couscous include parsley, cilantro, mint, and basil.
  • Serve the couscous hot or cold. Couscous can be served hot or cold, depending on your preference. If you are serving the couscous hot, you can top it with a dollop of yogurt or a drizzle of olive oil. If you are serving the couscous cold, you can toss it with a vinaigrette or a lemon-tahini dressing.

Conclusion:

Orange-scented couscous is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With its bright citrus flavor and fluffy texture, orange-scented couscous is sure to please everyone at the table.
