Tips:

  • Use fresh oranges. Fresh oranges provide the best flavor and aroma for your sugared pecans.
  • Zest the oranges before juicing them. This will help release the essential oils from the orange peel, which will give your pecans a more intense flavor.
  • Use a heavy-bottomed saucepan. This will help prevent the sugar from burning.
  • Stir the pecans constantly while they are cooking. This will help ensure that they are evenly coated in the sugar syrup.
  • Spread the pecans out on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. This will help them to cool and harden quickly.
  • Store the sugared pecans in an airtight container. This will help them to stay fresh and crispy.

Conclusion:

Orange sugared pecans are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or gift. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or any other special occasion. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a tasty treat that everyone will love.
