1/2 c finely chopped onions
1/2 c finely chopped celery
1 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp capers
3/4 c mayonnaise ( i use dukes)
4 oz diced pimentos, drained

Steps:

  • 1. Flake Tuna and mix well using your hands with all ingredients. Store in refrigerator up to 7 days.

Tips:

  • Choose the freshest tuna possible. Fresh tuna should have a mild, slightly briny flavor and a firm, meaty texture. Avoid tuna that is discolored or has an off smell.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut the tuna into small pieces. This will help to prevent the tuna from becoming mushy.
  • Do not overmix the tuna salad. Overmixing will make the tuna salad tough and dry.
  • Chill the tuna salad before serving. This will help to firm up the salad and make it more flavorful.
  • Serve the tuna salad on a bed of lettuce or greens. This will add a fresh, crunchy element to the salad.

Conclusion:

Tuna salad is a classic summer dish that is both delicious and easy to make. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a tuna salad that is perfect for a light lunch or dinner. Whether you are serving it on a sandwich, a salad, or a cracker, tuna salad is sure to be a hit. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy meal, give tuna salad a try!
