- To make the marinade combine the oil, apple cider vinegar, BBQ sauce, and pork rub in a small bowl. Combine the marinade ingredients. Add the 4 pork steaks to a gallon size Ziplock bag and place it inside of a larger container inside of the fridge. Let the pork marinate for 2-24 hours.
- Remove the pork shoulder steaks from the fridge 30-60 mins before cooking to start bringing them up to room temperature, this helps them to cook more evenly.
- Preheat the oven to 400 F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Lay the pork shoulder steaks on the baking sheet, leaving room in between them.
- Bake them uncovered for 30-35 minutes until internal temp reaches at least 145 F when checked with a digital meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the meat.
