Cheddar Parmesan Potatoes image

I make these potatoes when they come to visit for family suppers and holidays. Most often, I serve them alongside meat and vegetables-but, with the cheese, they could be a main dish all by themselves.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your casserole will taste. Look for fresh potatoes, sharp parmesan cheese, and heavy cream.
  • Don't overcook the potatoes: The potatoes should be cooked through but still firm. Overcooked potatoes will become mushy and ruin the texture of the casserole.
  • Use a good quality baking dish: A heavy baking dish will help to distribute the heat evenly and prevent the casserole from burning.
  • Let the casserole rest before serving: This will allow the flavors to meld and the casserole to set up.

Conclusion:

Parmesan potato casserole is a classic comfort food that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. With its creamy, cheesy sauce and crispy potato topping, this casserole is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
