This punch is made with cachaça, the national spirit of Brazil, made from fermented sugar cane juice. Increased interest in the liquor, and Latin American cuisine, has brought several brands to American bars and liquor stores. Use the one you can find. And drink slowly. It's strong.

Mango, Passion Fruit and Banana Punch image

Fresh passion fruit is best for this punch; however, if that's hard to find, frozen purée or bottled nectar may be used instead. Mango purée also may be substituted for fresh mangoes. Saveur Magazine, August/07. Just imagine yourself on the beach with the hot sand, the wind blowing in your hair and not a care in the world.

PASSION FRUIT PUNCH

Passion Fruit Punch image

I had a bunch of fresh passion fruits that I processed with some white rum and Truvia to make "passion fruit-ade" on a camping trip. The rum acted as a preservative - not intended to get drunk. When I got home, I still had a lot left over which stayed in the refrigerator for weeks. So, today, I wanted to use it up. I wanted to...

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 c fresh passion fruit pulp with seeds, blended in a blender
3 c ginger beer (not ginger ale, but the spicier ginger beer)
3 c bitter lemon soda
1 1/2 c white rum (optional)
16 dash(es) angostura bitters
truvia or simple syrup to taste.

Steps:

  • 1. Blend passion fruit pulp in a blender or with an immersion blender. Add a little water if necessary - just enough to get it to blend. If you're adding the rum, use this instead of water to help it blend.
  • 2. Strain out the crushed seeds if you want to do so. I don't.
  • 3. Mix it all together in a punch bowl with ice.
  • 4. Taste for sweetness and adjust as needed. Some ginger beers are WAAAY too sweet for my taste. Others are balanced. Stir gently if you add a sweetener so not to disturb the carbonation too much.

Passion Fruit Punch:

Passion fruit, with its vibrant color and sweet-tart taste, is the star of this refreshing drink. The combination of flavors, including orange, pineapple, and grena باسلامdine, is perfectly complemented by the tang of fresh limes and the aromatic pop of ginger. Here's a detailed summary of the Passion Fruit Punch recipe along with some helpful tips:
  • For a smoother口感: If you want a smoother texture, use a blender to purée the passion fruit before adding it to the mixture.
  • Fresh Ginger Punch: If fresh ginger is unavailable, consider using ground ginger as a viable alternative.
  • Adjust Citrus Punch:
  • If you find the drink too tangy, balance the flavors by adding a touch more sugar or by using less citrus.
  • Passion Fruit Punch Twist: Experiment with different citrus: instead of oranges or limes, try using grapefruit or lemons for a tangy kick.
  • Enhance the Passion Fruit Punch: Add a delightful layer of sweetness by incorporating ripe bananas or sweet strawberries into the mixture.
  • Passion Fruit Punch Fizz: For a fizzy sensation, add a splash of club oda or sparkling water just before serving.
  • Garnish: Garnish your Passion Fruit Punch with fresh herbs like Mint or Basil for an extra touch of aromatic appeal.
  • Storing Passion Fruit Punch: Store leftover Passion Fruit Punch in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
  • Spice up your Passion Fruit Punch: Add a pinch of cayenne or chili powder to give your Passion Fruit Punch a spicy kick.
  • Passion Fruit Punch for Parties:
  • Double or even Triple the recipe if you're serving a larger group or planning a party.

The flavorful and vibrant Passion Fruit Punch is a perfect choice to beat the heat and quench your thirst.
