Tips:

  • Use a sharp knife or mandoline to thinly slice the cabbage. This will help the slaw to absorb the dressing better and make it more crisp.
  • Shred the carrots by hand or use a grater. Grated carrots will release more water, which can make the slaw soggy.
  • Use a combination of mayonnaise and vinegar for the dressing. This will give the slaw a creamy and tangy flavor.
  • Add some sugar or honey to the dressing to balance out the acidity of the vinegar.
  • Season the dressing with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Let the slaw chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve the slaw as a side dish with fried chicken, barbecue, or hamburgers.

Conclusion:

Paula Deen's Money-Saving Cole Slaw is a delicious and budget-friendly side dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With a few simple tips, you can make the best coleslaw ever!
