Tips:

  • To make the perfect pie crust, use a combination of butter and shortening. This will create a flaky, tender crust.
  • When measuring flour, spoon it into the measuring cup and level it off with a knife. Do not scoop the flour directly from the bag, as this will pack it down and result in a dry, tough crust.
  • When rolling out the pie dough, be sure to do so on a lightly floured surface. This will prevent the dough from sticking and tearing.
  • When transferring the pie dough to the pie plate, fold it in half and then unfold it over the plate. This will help to prevent the dough from tearing.
  • Before filling the pie, pre-bake the pie crust for 10-12 minutes. This will help to prevent the crust from becoming soggy.
  • When filling the pie, do not overfill it. Leave about 1 inch of space around the edge of the pie crust.
  • To prevent the pie filling from bubbling over, brush the edges of the pie crust with milk or egg wash before baking.
  • Bake the pie at a high temperature for the first 15-20 minutes, then reduce the temperature and continue baking until the pie is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  • Let the pie cool completely before serving. This will allow the filling to set and the crust to firm up.

Conclusion:

Peach surprise pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its flaky, tender crust and sweet, juicy filling, this pie is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a special dessert, give this peach surprise pie a try. You won't be disappointed!
