PEANUT BUTTER BROWNIE TRIFLE RECIPE - (4.4/5)

Peanut Butter Brownie Trifle Recipe - (4.4/5) image

Provided by moddie2bert

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 (9x13") pan baked brownies, cut into 1-inch pieces*
1 large (5.1 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
3 cups milk
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup whipping cream, whipped and divided**
40 bite-sized or 24 regular Reese's peanut butter cups

Steps:

  • Beat pudding mix and milk until thickened. Add peanut butter and vanilla, then mix until combined. Fold in 1 cup whipped cream. Place half of brownies in bottom of trifle dish. Sprinkle with 16 coarsely chopped bite-sized Reese's cups. Spread half of pudding mixture on top. Repeat layers. Top with last cup of whipped cream and remaining 8 bite-sized Reese's cups for garnish. Chill at least 6 hours before serving. *Option: Add a 10-ounce bag of peanut butter baking chips to brownie batter. **Homemade whipped cream: with an electric mixer, beat cream with 2 tablespoons sugar and ½ teaspoon vanilla until soft peaks form.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: This will make a big difference in the taste of your trifle. Look for rich, dark chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and fresh whipped cream.
  • Don't over-mix the batter: Over-mixing can make the brownies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the brownies until they are just set: Over-baking will make them dry. A toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies should come out with just a few moist crumbs attached.
  • Let the brownies cool completely before assembling the trifle: This will help to prevent the layers from becoming soggy.
  • Use a variety of textures in your trifle: The combination of creamy peanut butter, chewy brownies, and fluffy whipped cream creates a delicious and satisfying dessert.
  • Garnish the trifle with your favorite toppings: Some popular options include chocolate shavings, chopped peanuts, and whipped cream.

Conclusion:

Peanut butter brownie trifle is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its rich chocolate flavor, creamy peanut butter filling, and fluffy whipped cream topping, this trifle is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a special dessert, give this peanut butter brownie trifle a try.
