Tips:

  • Choose fresh, tender green beans: Look for beans that are bright green in color and have no blemishes. Avoid beans that are limp or have brown spots.
  • Trim the green beans: Remove the ends of the beans, where they were attached to the plant. You can also trim off the strings, if desired.
  • Blanch the green beans: This will help to retain their bright green color and crisp texture. To blanch the beans, place them in a large pot of boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Then, remove the beans from the boiling water and immediately place them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
  • Use a good quality peanut butter: Look for a peanut butter that is made with 100% peanuts and does not contain any added sugar or oil.
  • Season the green beans to taste: You can add a variety of seasonings to the green beans, such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, or onion powder. You can also add a bit of heat with cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.

Conclusion:

Peanutty green beans are a delicious and easy side dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are a good source of protein, fiber, and vitamins. Plus, they are a great way to get your kids to eat their vegetables!
