2 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1/4 c vegetable oil
2/3 c milk
FILLING
pepperoni
shredded mozzarella cheese
TOPPING
Parmesan cheese
olive oil

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. On a cookie sheet spray non-stick oil/butter.
  • 2. MIx all ingredients for the dough together until you get a nice firm ball.
  • 3. Roll out with a rolling pin. (I did not have to flour the surface or pin because of the oil in the dough).
  • 4. Put desired amount of cheese and pepperoni on top of dough.
  • 5. Roll up the dough.
  • 6. Pinch the ends.
  • 7. Brush with olive oil then top with Parmesan cheese.
  • 8. Bake for 45 minutes. Let cool then slice. *Optional: Serve with a side of marinara.

Tips:

  • To achieve a golden crust, brush the rolls with melted butter before baking.
  • For a tangier flavor, use a sourdough starter instead of active dry yeast.
  • Feel free to add your favorite seasonings to the dough, such as garlic powder, Italian seasoning, or Parmesan cheese.
  • Make sure the pepperoni slices are thinly sliced so they cook evenly.
  • Don't overfill the rolls with pepperoni; they should be able to seal properly.
  • If you don't have a pizza baking stone, you can bake the rolls on a greased baking sheet.
  • Serve the rolls warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara or ranch dressing.

Conclusion:

Pepperoni rolls are a delicious and versatile snack or meal that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With their crispy crust, gooey cheese, and savory pepperoni filling, they're sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
