VIRGIN (NON ALCOHOLIC) PINA COLADA

Virgin (Non Alcoholic) Pina Colada image

This is just a variation of some of the other pina colada recipes i have seen on here. It has mostly the same ingredients and all, and probably tastes the same, but I just made it to suit our taste. I am just posting it so that I can keep up with it, but everyone is welcome to try it and review it. I did however make it for my family's 4th of July party and everyone raved about it. Too bad we ran out of it. :D

VIRGIN PIñA COLADA

Virgin Piña Colada image

A virgin piña colada is just coconut cream and pineapple juice. This version of the nonalcoholic piña colada recipe goes further for balance and complexity.

Provided by Derek Brown

Time 3m

Yield Makes 1 cocktail

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 oz. fresh pineapple juice
2¼ oz. cream of coconut, such as Coco Lopez
1 tsp. Steen's Pure Cane Syrup
1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
3 drops alcohol-free vanilla extract
6 drops salt tincture (see note at top)
Pineapple slice and frond for garnish

Steps:

  • Combine pineapple juice, cream of coconut, cane syrup, apple cider vinegar, vanilla extract, and salt tincture in a blender with a ½ cup of ice and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into hurricane glass and garnish with pineapple slice and frond.

Tips:

  • Use fresh pineapple. Fresh pineapple has a brighter flavor than canned pineapple, and it will make your pie taste more delicious.
  • Don't overcook the custard. Overcooked custard will be rubbery and tough. To check if the custard is done, insert a toothpick into the center of the pie. If the toothpick comes out clean, the custard is done.
  • Let the pie cool completely before serving. This will allow the custard to set properly and make it easier to slice.
  • Serve the pie with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This will add a delicious touch of sweetness and creaminess.

Conclusion:

Pina colada custard pie is a delicious and refreshing dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. So next time you are looking for a special dessert to make, give pina colada custard pie a try.
