Tips:

  • Use high-quality pork chops. Look for chops that are thick and juicy, with little marbling. Bone-in chops will have more flavor than boneless chops, but they will take longer to cook.
  • Season the pork chops generously. A simple seasoning of salt, pepper, and garlic powder will do the trick. You can also add other spices, such as paprika, cumin, or chili powder, to taste.
  • Sear the pork chops in a hot skillet. This will help to create a flavorful crust and prevent the chops from drying out. Be sure to sear the chops for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are browned.
  • Reduce the heat and cook the pork chops through. Once the chops are seared, reduce the heat to medium-low and continue to cook them for 8-10 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the chops have reached an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Add the rice and vegetables. Once the pork chops are cooked through, add the rice, vegetables, and broth to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through.
  • Serve and enjoy! Once the rice is cooked through, remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the parsley. Serve the pork chops and rice immediately.

Conclusion:

Pork chop and rice skillet is a quick, easy, and delicious meal that is perfect for a busy weeknight. It is also a great way to use up leftover pork chops.
