Provided by Love2cook2

Categories     Pork Tenderloin

Time 1h35m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
¼ cup orange marmalade
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 (1 pound) pork tenderloin
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons water

Steps:

  • Mix the soy sauce, orange juice concentrate, orange marmalade, honey, balsamic vinegar, and garlic together in a small saucepan over medium heat; bring to a simmer and whisk until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of pork: A boneless pork shoulder (also called pork butt) or pork loin roast are both good choices for this recipe. The shoulder is a more flavorful and forgiving cut, while the loin is leaner and more tender.
  • Brown the pork before roasting: Browning the pork in a skillet before roasting helps to develop flavor and color. Be sure to sear the pork on all sides over medium-high heat until golden brown.
  • Make sure the glaze is thick enough: The glaze should be thick enough to coat the pork evenly. If it's too thin, it will run off the pork and not stick. If it's too thick, it will be difficult to spread.
  • Baste the pork frequently: Basting the pork with the glaze during roasting helps to keep it moist and flavorful. Be sure to baste the pork every 30 minutes or so.
  • Let the pork rest before serving: Let the pork rest for 10-15 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, making it more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

Pork roast with orange glaze is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight meal. The combination of sweet and savory flavors is sure to please everyone at the table. With a little planning and preparation, you can easily create a restaurant-quality meal at home. So next time you're looking for a new pork recipe, give this one a try. You won't be disappointed!
