Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Grease an 8-by-4-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Beat the butter and the sugar in an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment on medium speed until it becomes light and fluffy, 3 to 5 minutes. Add the egg and mix until blended. Remove the bowl from the mixer and use a rubber spatula to gently fold in the roasted sweet potato.
- Add the flour, salt, ginger, baking soda, baking powder, cloves, orange zest and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and fold gently until just combined. Do not overmix or the bread will become tough.
- Transfer the batter to the baking dish in an even layer and place in the center of the oven. Bake until a toothpick or small paring knife inserted in the center comes out clean, about 55 minutes. Shut off the oven and let the bread sit in the oven 5 minutes more. Remove from the oven and cool at least 30 minutes before unmolding.
- Unmold the bread onto a serving platter. Bring the honey to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat until it froths and turns amber-brown, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat, then add the orange juice and remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Return to the heat and simmer 30 seconds to combine. Pour carefully over the top of the cooled bread.

POTATO BREAD (BREAD MACHINE)
This is a light and delicious loaf of bread made with instant mashed potato flakes. It was my first truly successful attempt at using my new bread machine, and I plan on making it again and again! If I didn't screw it up it must be foolproof! I found this online somewhere, but I'm ashamed to say I forgot where. This makes one 1 1/2 pound loaf.

Steps:
- Add all ingredients to bread machine in order listed, or as recommended by your bread machine.
- Select desired setting and press start.
- I make this using the basic cycle and the lightest crust setting.
Tips:
- Using a potato in the bread dough adds moisture and a slightly sweet flavor.
- The type of potato used can affect the final flavor and texture of the bread. Russet potatoes are commonly used, but Yukon Gold or red potatoes can also be used.
- The potato should be cooked and mashed before adding it to the dough. This will help it to blend in smoothly and evenly.
- The dough should be kneaded until it is smooth and elastic. This will help to develop the gluten in the flour and create a strong bread structure.
- The bread should be proofed in a warm place until it has doubled in size. This will allow the yeast to work and produce carbon dioxide gas, which will cause the bread to rise.
- The bread should be baked in a preheated oven until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Potato bread can be eaten fresh, toasted, or used to make sandwiches and other dishes.
Conclusion:
Potato bread is a delicious and versatile bread that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a good source of carbohydrates, fiber, and vitamins, and it can be made with a variety of ingredients. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced baker, potato bread is a great option for your next baking project.
