2 tbsp rapeseed oil
1 onion , finely chopped
1 small garlic clove , finely grated
375g lean pork mince
1 medium egg yolk
grating of nutmeg
50g fine fresh breadcrumbs
300ml hot low-salt beef stock
½ tbsp Dijon mustard

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use a combination of ground beef and pork. You can also use all beef or all pork, but the combination of the two meats gives the meatballs a more complex flavor.
  • Use fresh breadcrumbs in the meatballs. This will help to keep them light and fluffy.
  • Don't overmix the meatball mixture. Overmixing will make the meatballs tough.
  • Cook the meatballs in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. This will help to prevent them from sticking to the pan.
  • Don't overcrowd the skillet when cooking the meatballs. This will also help to prevent them from sticking together.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the meatballs are cooked through. The internal temperature of the meatballs should be 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Serve the Swedish meatballs with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or lingonberry jam.

Conclusion:

Swedish meatballs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal or a special occasion. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a meal that your family and friends will love.
