Adding raspberries to homemade lemonade gives it a tangy flavour and turns it a vivid pink

Yield Makes 350ml syrup

Number Of Ingredients 5

300g caster sugar
1½ lemons , sliced
1 orange , sliced
3 x 170g/6oz punnets raspberries
ice and fresh mint , to serve (optional)

Steps:

  • Place all the ingredients in a large saucepan and pour over 350ml cold water. Bring to the boil, stirring often, then leave to cool. Pour through a sieve, pressing down with a spoon to extract all the juices. The syrup can now be stored in the fridge for up to 1 week. To serve, pour a little into a glass and top up with sparkling or still water, ice and mint.

3 cups water
¾ teaspoon lime juice
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
1 cup crushed ice
1 cup fresh raspberries, garnish
18 Mint leaves, for garnish

Steps:

  • In a large punch bowl, combine raspberry lemonade concentrate, water and lime juice. Stir in lemon-lime soda and crushed ice. Garnish each glass with a fresh raspberry and a mint leaf.

¾ cup strawberry, pureed
4 tablespoons sugar
1 lemon, use ½ for juice and other ½ for zest
2 cups water
4 fresh basil leaves

  • Boil water and, once boiling, add sugar and wait for sugar to dissolve. Once it does, turn off the stove and wait for the water to become warm.
  • Once the water cools down, add the lemon juice and zest into it and stir gently. To this, add strawberry puree and portion into glasses.
  • Garnish with ice and basil and serve.
