I made these one year and gave them as Christmas gifts. They were the most popular presents I ever gave! I can't remember yield and times exactly now so they are a guess with cook time being chill time.

1 tablespoon vanilla extract or 1 tablespoon liqueur

1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon milk

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate: The better the chocolate, the better the truffles will be. Look for chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
  • Temper the chocolate: Tempering helps to stabilize the chocolate and give it a smooth, glossy finish. There are several ways to temper chocolate, but the most common method is to melt it slowly over a double boiler, stirring constantly.
  • Chill the chocolate mixture thoroughly: This will help the truffles to set properly.
  • Use a variety of coatings: You can coat the truffles in cocoa powder, chopped nuts, sprinkles, or even edible glitter.
  • Store the truffles in a cool, dry place: Truffles can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
