Steps:
- 1.Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). 2.Arrange the pretzels in a single layer on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Place one chocolate covered caramel candy on each pretzel. 3.Bake for 4 minutes. While the candy is warm, press a pecan half onto each candy covered pretzel. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Tips:
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best flavor.
- If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can test the caramel by dropping a small amount into a glass of cold water. If it forms a firm ball, it's ready.
- Be careful not to overcook the caramel, or it will become hard and brittle.
- Work quickly when dipping the pretzels in the caramel, as it will start to harden quickly.
- If you're having trouble getting the caramel to stick to the pretzels, try dipping them in melted chocolate first.
- Store the turtles in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
