Tips:

  • Mise en place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all of your ingredients prepped and measured. This will help you stay organized and avoid scrambling.
  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh vegetables and herbs will give your stir-fry the best flavor. If you can, try to buy organic produce.
  • Cut your vegetables evenly: This will help them cook evenly. If you're using a food processor to cut your vegetables, be careful not to over-process them. You want them to retain some of their crunch.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: If you overcrowd the pan, the vegetables will steam instead of stir-frying. Cook your vegetables in batches if necessary.
  • Use a high-heat oil: A high-heat oil, such as grapeseed oil or canola oil, will help prevent your vegetables from sticking to the pan.
  • Stir-fry your vegetables over high heat: This will help them cook quickly and evenly. Be sure to stir the vegetables constantly so that they don't burn.
  • Add your sauce at the end: Adding your sauce at the end will help prevent it from burning. If you're using a store-bought sauce, be sure to dilute it with a little water or broth before adding it to the pan.
  • Serve your stir-fry immediately: Stir-fries are best served immediately. If you need to keep your stir-fry warm, you can place it in a covered dish in a warm oven.

Conclusion:

Stir-fries are a quick, easy, and healthy way to get your daily dose of vegetables. They're also a great way to use up leftover vegetables. With a little planning and preparation, you can make a delicious and satisfying stir-fry that the whole family will enjoy.
