1 small head red cabbage, cored and thinly sliced
1 medium Granny Smith apple - peeled, cored, and sliced
½ small sweet onion, cut into thin wedges
1 teaspoon fennel seeds, crushed
kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
¼ cup red wine
½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a large saute pan over medium heat. Add cabbage, apple, onion, fennel seeds, salt, and pepper. Saute until the cabbage softens and wilts, about 20 minutes.

1/2 head red cabbage
1 Granny Smith apple
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon fennel seeds, crushed
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup red wine
Splash apple cider vinegar

Steps:
