Tips for Sautéed Carrots with Sage:
- Choose fresh, tender carrots. Look for carrots that are smooth and brightly colored, with no blemishes or cracks.
- Cut the carrots into uniform pieces. This will help them cook evenly.
- Use a large skillet or sauté pan. This will give the carrots plenty of room to cook without overcrowding.
- Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. This will help the carrots brown and caramelize.
- Add the carrots and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are tender-crisp. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the sage and cook for 1 minute more. This will infuse the carrots with the sage's aromatic flavor.
