Tips:

  • For the best results, use fresh, high-quality shrimp. Look for shrimp that are plump and have a slightly briny smell.
  • If you are using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely before cooking.
  • To devein the shrimp, use a sharp knife to make a shallow cut along the back of the shrimp, from the head to the tail. Remove the vein and rinse the shrimp under cold water.
  • You can cook the shrimp in a variety of ways. You can boil them, grill them, or pan-fry them. For this recipe, we will be pan-frying the shrimp.
  • Be careful not to overcook the shrimp. Overcooked shrimp will become tough and rubbery.
  • The Dijon vinaigrette is a key component of this dish. Make sure to use a good quality Dijon mustard. You can also add other herbs and spices to the vinaigrette, such as tarragon, chives, or garlic.
