Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of steak: Chuck roast, sirloin tip roast, and round steak are all good options for slow-cooker steak and gravy.
  • Brown the steak before cooking: This will help to develop flavor and prevent the steak from becoming tough.
  • Use a good quality beef broth: This will make a big difference in the flavor of the gravy.
  • Add vegetables to the slow cooker: This will help to add flavor and nutrition to the dish.
  • Cook the steak on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours: This will ensure that the steak is cooked through and tender.
  • Make a slurry to thicken the gravy: A slurry is a mixture of equal parts cornstarch and water. Add the slurry to the gravy and cook until thickened.
