1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Tips:

  • Use fresh nuts: Fresh nuts will have a better flavor and texture than stale nuts.
  • Choose the right nuts: Pecans and walnuts are both great choices for sugared nuts, but you can also use other nuts like almonds, cashews, or hazelnuts.
  • Roast the nuts before sugaring them: Roasting the nuts will help to bring out their flavor and make them more crispy.
  • Use a heavy-bottomed saucepan: A heavy-bottomed saucepan will help to prevent the sugar from burning.
  • Stir the nuts constantly: Stirring the nuts constantly will help to prevent them from sticking together.
  • Use a candy thermometer: A candy thermometer will help you to ensure that the sugar is cooked to the right temperature.
  • Let the nuts cool completely: Let the nuts cool completely before serving them. This will help them to set and become more crispy.
