Tips for Making Slow Cooker Turkey and Potatoes

  • Choose a slow cooker that is large enough to fit the turkey and all of the potatoes. A 6-quart slow cooker is a good size for a 10-pound turkey.
  • Season the turkey generously with salt, pepper, and your favorite herbs and spices. You can also add a little bit of olive oil to help keep the turkey moist.
  • Place the turkey breast-side up in the slow cooker. Add the potatoes, carrots, and celery around the turkey.
  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the turkey is cooked through and the potatoes are tender.
  • Transfer the turkey and potatoes to a platter and let rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.

Slow cooker turkey and potatoes is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that's perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a flavorful and hearty dish that the whole family will love.
