Tips:

  • Chill the dough: Chilling the dough before baking helps prevent the cookies from spreading too much and keeps them nice and round.
  • Use real butter: Butter gives these cookies a rich, flavorful taste that can't be beaten by margarine or shortening.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough can make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Use a cookie scoop: A cookie scoop helps ensure that all of the cookies are the same size and shape.
  • Don't crowd the cookies on the baking sheet: Leave some space between the cookies on the baking sheet so that they can spread out properly.
  • Bake the cookies until they are just set: The cookies should be slightly golden brown around the edges and still a little soft in the center.
  • Let the cookies cool completely: Let the cookies cool completely before rolling them in powdered sugar. This will help prevent the powdered sugar from sticking to the cookies.

Conclusion:

Snowball cookies are a classic Christmas cookie that is easy to make and always a hit. With their sweet, buttery flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture, these cookies are sure to be a favorite of everyone who tries them.
