Tips:
- Prep the dough in advance: The dough can be made ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 2 days or frozen for up to 2 months. This makes it a great option for busy weeknights or when you're short on time.
- Use fresh herbs: Chives are the classic herb for these rolls, but you can also use other fresh herbs like parsley, dill, or basil.
- Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make the rolls tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Let the rolls rise in a warm place: This will help them to rise quickly and evenly.
- Brush the rolls with melted butter before baking: This will give them a golden brown crust.
- Serve the rolls warm: These rolls are best served warm from the oven. You can also reheat them in the oven or microwave.
Conclusion:
Sour cream and chive rolls are a delicious and versatile bread that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They're perfect for sandwiches, sliders, or simply served with butter and jam. With a few simple tips, you can make these rolls at home that are sure to impress your family and friends.
