1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 (30-oz) pkg frozen shredded hash brown potatoes
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (6-oz package)

  • 6. Cover crock pot, set heat level to Low, and cook for 7 to 8 hours (internal temperature should reach 160°F). Garnish each serving with a generous spoonful of salsa and a slice of avocado on the side, if desired.

Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all of your ingredients and equipment ready to go. This will help you stay organized and avoid any mishaps.
  • Use Fresh Ingredients: Whenever possible, use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and texture. This is especially important for the vegetables and herbs.
  • Season to Taste: Don't be afraid to adjust the seasonings to your liking. Taste the casserole as you go and add more salt, pepper, or other spices as needed.
  • Don't Overcook the Eggs: The eggs in the casserole should be cooked through, but not overcooked. Otherwise, they will become rubbery.
  • Let the Casserole Rest: Before serving, let the casserole rest for a few minutes so that the flavors can meld together. This will also help the casserole to set.
