SPICED CITRUS TEA MIX

Spiced Citrus Tea Mix image

This is a great thing to keep in an office desk drawer for an easy afternoon pick-me-up with a little caffeine, some vitamin C, and less sugar than soda. If you put it in a pretty jar, it makes a nice gift. I got this recipe from my mom and changed it up a bit (made it less sweet). It's good hot or cold.

The power of tea, i love it....

Provided by NIKKI SMITH

Categories     Other Drinks

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 tea bag, citrus flavor
1 tsp orange juice, fresh
1 tsp honey
orange slices

Steps:

  • 1. Place tea bag into cup or mug. Pour boiling water over tea bag; steep 3 to 5 minutes. Remove tea bag, pressing out liquid. Discard tea bag. Serve with orange juice and honey. Garnish with orange slices, I desired.

Tips:

  • Use fresh citrus fruits: Fresh citrus fruits, such as oranges, lemons, and grapefruits, provide the best flavor for spiced citrus tea. Choose fruits that are ripe and juicy, with no blemishes.
  • Add spices to taste: The spices used in spiced citrus tea can be adjusted to suit your personal preferences. Common spices include cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg. Start with a small amount of each spice and adjust to taste.
  • Use honey or sugar to sweeten: Honey or sugar can be added to spiced citrus tea to sweeten it. The amount of sweetener you add will depend on your personal preferences. If you are using honey, be sure to add it after the tea has cooled slightly to prevent it from losing its beneficial properties.
  • Garnish with citrus slices: Slices of citrus fruit, such as oranges or lemons, can be used to garnish spiced citrus tea. This adds a festive touch and helps to enhance the flavor of the tea.
  • Serve hot or cold: Spiced citrus tea can be served hot or cold. If you are serving it hot, heat the water to just below boiling (about 195 degrees Fahrenheit) before steeping the tea. If you are serving it cold, brew the tea as usual and then chill it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Conclusion:

Spiced citrus tea is a delicious and refreshing beverage that can be enjoyed year-round. It is a good source of vitamin C and antioxidants, and it can help to boost your immune system. With its warm spices and zesty citrus flavor, spiced citrus tea is the perfect drink to relax with on a cold day or to enjoy with friends and family.
