400 gr. ground beef
4 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon cumin seed
1/2 teaspoon black mustard seeds
1 large onion, chopped
1 inch fresh gingerroot, grated
4 garlic cloves, chopped
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
2 tomatoes, diced
10 curry leaves (optional)
1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a pot and add the cumin and mustard seeds, when they start to splutter, add the onions. Fry for 4 minutes.
  • Add the ginger and garlic, fry for 1 minute.
  • Reduce heat to medium and add the ground beef. Stir fry till the meat is crumbly and the liquid has evaporated.
  • Reduce heat to low, add all the remaining ingredient. Stir well. Cover pot with a lid and cook for 10 minutes.

1 onion, chopped
1/4 cup celery, minced
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning, to taste
12 slices dry bread, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
2 cans cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
1 cup milk
2 lbs ground beef (I use ground round)
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Mix onion, celery, poultry seasoning and bread cubes.
  • Add one can of the soup and the milk.
  • Set aside.
  • In a large bowl mix the ground beef and the mustard and Worcestershire.
  • Add the bread mixture.
  • Mix thoroughly.
  • Spread into a 9x13 pan.
  • Spread the other can of cream of mushroom soup over the top.
  • Bake at 375 for about 1 hour (maybe a little less).

2 tablespoons Italian seasoning

4 carrots, diced
4 ribs celery, chopped

2 (10 ounce) cans diced tomatoes and green chiles (such as RO*TEL®)
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 cup frozen peas
1 cup frozen whole kernel corn
