Tips:

  • Prep the Ingredients: Before you start cooking, make sure all your ingredients are prepped and measured. This will help you save time and ensure that your enchilada pie comes out perfectly.
  • Brown the Beef: For the best flavor, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it's no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease before adding the other ingredients.
  • Use a Variety of Beans: To add texture and flavor to your enchilada pie, use a variety of beans, such as black beans, pinto beans, and kidney beans.
  • Don't Overfill the Tortillas: When filling the tortillas for your enchilada pie, don't overfill them, or they will break apart. Aim for about 1/4 cup of filling per tortilla.
  • Layer the Enchilada Pie Properly: To ensure that your enchilada pie cooks evenly, layer it properly. Start with a layer of tortillas, then a layer of filling, then a layer of sauce, and repeat until you've used up all of your ingredients.
  • Bake Until Golden Brown: Bake the enchilada pie in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  • Let it Cool Before Serving: Once the enchilada pie is done baking, let it cool for a few minutes before serving. This will help the pie set and make it easier to slice.
